another day, another meeting. I have to talk with the people from the IT group about working on the redesigning of the anti-virus cds that the school give out every fall. Plus I have to go to St Joes for the 4 straight day to look at this retarded auction network. I think I'll walk to school today just because I haven't been able to at all this week. Crap, I better not forget to get the course subsitution form signed by Prof. Lee so that my environmental philosophy course will take the place of a comparitive religion (which never seem to be offered, and yet they are required for a phil minor). I guess if I'm going to get to these meetings on time I better head out soon...

Finally, in my hot little hadns I'm holding a copy of our cover of Immortal's "One by One". It sounds wicked kick ass too, if I do say so myself. Everything is set to go, so hopefully we'll still make it on the tribute comp. If hope to hell that we do, that would be so fricken awesome.

I had the worst night's sleep the past couple of days, and then the mornings start off pretty crappy. My frickin' uncle has had hip surgery and is at home out of work for at least 6 weeks. So what does he do? Just call wicked early every morning to talk to my mom because he's bored. It wakes me up and it's wicked annoying because he's so inconsiderate. Plus yesterday I also awoke to a giant pile of cat puke on my carpet, which didn't make things any better. And to top it all off, I've been havine the weirdest dreams lately about really crazy stuff.

This morning though I had one that was probably the geekest dream ever. Basically I dreamed that I was going to open my own cyber cafe, where all the machines ran on linux. The rational for that it it would reduce the cost of running the place since I wouldn't have to pay Micro$oft out the ass for licensing fees, or have to get antivirus packages and what not. I actually woke up and started thinking about where I could open this and like other services I could provide. I was thinking something like offering basic intruction classes for linux n00bs, and maybe like "frag fest fridays" where there could be multiplayer games of Quake or Doom. I don't know that I'd ever be able to get this off the ground, but it's an idea that I may toy with for some time to come...

Happy St. P's

Today is a good day to get drunk if you the typical Irish stereo type. I'm not, but I may have a drink anyways, just because. It'll be nice when Sandy comes back tomorrow, although it will me our spring break is almost over :\ I wish it was warmer today, but at least the snow from the last freak storm is all gone now. Lets see how long that lasts, hehe

What weird weather we're having today, right now it's sunny and snowing like a blizzard. Isn't New England great? So of course I decided to walk to St. Joe's today and by the time I got out of there I was walking home in the blizzard. I didn't get too cold or wet, but it did suck because the snow kept sticking to my glasses. I actually feel kind of beat now, but getting out and walking is good. I should probably do some situps too... right after a few rounds of soul calibur 3 :D

Well I guess it wasn't such a great idea to wash my car on sunday since it poured all yesterday. But I have all these fucking tokens for the car wash in Westminster and I really wanted to use them up. It's such a nice day out now, I think I'll go for a walk so I can escape my computer. I know I spend enterely too much time behind it, but it's what I do. Too bad I don't have some kind of super portable computer, granted I have a laptop, but it's a 17" powerbook G4. It's not that it's so heavy (6.9 lbs) but it's a monster size wise. Oh well..

Yesterday Sandy and I went to the Raptor center in Quechee VT. They had some huge birds of prey there. Lots of different kinds of owls, raven, and eagles (including 2 bald eagles which are fucking huge!) All the birds there are permantely disabled in some way that prevents them from being release out in the wild. But the question I had was this, where do they get the name "birds of prey"? That seems to imply that they are prey, which clearly they aren't. I thought it would be more appropriate to call them "birds of predation", or even "birds that can totally kick your ass". Oh well, hehe

It's so close I can almost taste it, spring break that is. I only have 2 classes left to deal with, management tomorrow, and then ethics on friday. And what's the forecast for both of those days? Rain. The only good news is that it's not snow. It's been getting pretty warm lately, all the way up into the 40's!! Gawd Damn!

Something went right for once with the Windows 2003 server at St. Joe's. It's been sorting of half dying for the past few days for no apparent reason, but I was able to restore it to a working setting from the weekly backups. I would have been up the creek if it wasn't for that. Still, I wish they would have gone with a Mac lab, because this kind of crap wouldn't happen ;)

I can't wait untill spring break. Granted that it's only a week away, but all the same I wish it was now. School is really stressful this semester, even though my classes shouldn't be as difficult as they are. Getting an 84, and an 85 of my exams last week hasn't helped my moral any either. I hope I don't end up blowing it this semester.

It's still pretty chilly out this morning, but I'm thinking about going for a walk. After the discussion that we had in my ethics class yesterday, I realized that I'm seriously sedentary. "They" say that a person should walk at least 10,000 steps a day (~2 miles). Some days I wonder if I even take 1000 :(  So I'm going to bundle up and go for a walk in the woods.
